Anastasia’s passion for filmmaking led her to leave her hometown of Moscow, Russia to travel across the world and study film directing and producing at School Of Visual Arts in New York. She graduated in 2019 with BFA in Film with Honors and received Humanities and Sciences Department Award. During her time at SVA, she produced, directed and assisted on 75+ set productions of short narrative films, music videos, commercials, and other video projects. She experimented with multiple visual storytelling mediums, including performance art, photography, 2D animation, film, virtual reality and stop-motion. Two of her fashion films were selected and screened at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in 2017. And for her thesis, she took on a challenge of making a feature film. Along with her partner, they embarked on a 2-year journey, fundraising over $70K to come as close as possible to their creative vision, traveled and filmed in over 10 countries and together edited 35+ hours of filmed footage. Today, their award-winning feature film Prayer Before Birth is available to watch at http://prayerbeforebirth.com/
