Anastasia is a student at The School of Visual Arts and will be graduating in 2019 with a BFA in Film and Video, concentrating in Directing. From an early age, she has been involved in filmmaking, producing a web-series that focused on the most popular girls in middle school and their opinions about boys. In the past years, she has directed, shot, edited and wrote some short narrative films of her own and produced numerous short films and music videos of others. Most recently, she directed and edited several fashion films, which were screened at Moscow Fashion Week in 2018 and at EECAAC in Moscow Fashion Show Fashion Aids Line that promotes support for people living with HIV. Currently, with the team of talented animators, Anastasia is making a short animated film that she wrote, which deals with family acceptance and childhood trauma. For her thesis year, she is also working on her feature experimental documentary, where along with her partner she is traveling to 10 countries around the world to document people of different cultures and backgrounds, thereby demonstrating the diversity and complexity of life.
